Our Design Approach for Valve Audio
Ultimate sound quality
There is a reason why the music sounds wonderful on Falls Audio Bespoke Equipment.
We address the foundations of musical sound in our designs.
All our products are acoustically engineered for ultimate performance.

The New Refence
Falls Audio Bespoke products (valve preamplifiers and amplifiers) achieve a level of performance way beyond the audio industry norm. We achieve this by adopting a quality first approach. Before principles of built in obsolesce and profit first applied there were companies that put quality first.
Careful attention to components quality and layout is of timeless value. This meticulously designed and constructed circuit dates from the 1930s.
...by taking a different path
Falls Audio takes a different design path. The music wont shine on Audio products that focus primarily on looks, that rely ordinary or poor quality components and dont follow a specialist design method.
At Falls Audio the design of a bespoke audio valve product is informed by music from its inception. Our bespoke products are shaped by the foundations of musical sound. We design preamplifiers amplifiers and loudspeakers that enhance your experience of listening to music.
Phase 1: Foundations of musical sound
1) The materials and components used and their interactive behavior effect the sound of audio equipment.
2) Every component and material has its sound signature. An oil capacitor sounds different to a polyester one. Silver sounds different to copper
3) Circuit design and the components selected interact to effect the sound produced.
4) The overall sound of every audio product is the combination of numerous circuit and component interactions.
Phase 2: Design Practices
Research, and carefully select components for use in circuits.
Test the contribution of components to the overall sound produced. Replace and retest as required.
Confirm circuit is operating correctly optimise circuit as required.
Phase 3: Build
Cut and fabricate and permanently mount components.
Retest and optimise design as required.
