Background

Atlantis is the pinnacle of our bespoke preamplifier designs. Sonic performance was the key design criteria. 

Only the finest components are used in the Atlantis.  The high quality external power supply unit provides extensive filtering reduces unwanted interference and noise. and ensures rock-solid control, headroom,  extra quietness and signal purity.  Point to point  hand selected wiring is used depending on its sonic virtues for the particular part of the circuit it is used.  The  implementation of bespoke constant current  modules gives the Atlantis preamp considerable drive you can hear every wack of a drum or the touch of the snare., hand or  bow. The Atlantis maintains the timing of the music while being free of any congestion. ,  

To maintain the  ultimate sound quality  the Atlantis provides one set of inputs and outputs using high quality rca sockets.

Valve choice

The Atlantis uses the Western Electric 310a. This valve is renowned by high End Japanese collectors.

The 310a is known for its dynamic and clear character it imparts to the sound.  The 310a is also a popular driver valve used  in power amplifiers.

Features

The Atlantis features a two chassis design for reduced noise.  One box contains the fully analogue pre-amplification itself and the other box contains the power supply and control circuits.

The Atlantis includes two 280 rectifiers and wide bandwidth Inter-stage transformers.  Two Transformer volume controls the left and right channel's to be controlled separately. The power supply includes a custom made power transformer, two custom filament transformers and oil fill, polypropylene capacitors,  and vintage chokes.  It also features a bespoke constant current module,

Background

The Waverly shares much of the design features of Atlantis . It uses arguably the best valve ever made the western electric 205d.  Given the parts required to produce a Waverly they will only ever be produced in low numbers.

The Waverly is a truly special preamp something to passed on to future generations.  This preamp is in a class of its own. 

Valve choice

The Waverly uses the Western Electric 205d. valve which is know as a tennis ball valve due to its round ball like shape.  This valve is renowned and commands high prices , usually in the thousands. 

For the human voice there is no better valve and across the range it is lush, and full and makes the music sound uncannily real.

In addition the Waverly features several components to ensure that the 205d valve is not noisy.  It also has a filament start switch to ensure that the 205d valve have a  long life.
